Diesel Particulate Filter - GWM Cannon

Please note, this process will only work when the engine light is on and the spanner light is flashing.

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS PROCESS OVER A FLAMMABLE SURFACE!!

Follow these steps below:

Make sure all doors are closed on your vehicle.

Without depressing the brake pedal, press the start/stop button so all ignition lights are displayed on the dash.

Give it a couple of seconds and then press the DPF clean button which is located down by your right knee. Do this for approximately 5 seconds until the message on the dash shows “START VEHICLE AND IDLE”.

Once you see “START VEHICLE AND IDLE” appear on the dash, depress the brake pedal and press the start button to turn the vehicle on. After a few seconds, the engine RPM’s will increase to approximately 2000rpm. The cleaning process will now run for approximately 15-20 minutes and then once finished the idle will drop down to normal idle and the spanner light will no longer be on.

The vehicle is now ok to drive and operate as normal. The engine lamp will turn off after 4 drive cycles.
